Sean K Lando is a seasoned travel/technology
industry professional with over 21 years of
corporate travel management, technology, and
other related industry knowledge and experience
Mr. Lando began his career in 1985 by joining the front lines in reservations of the largest wholesale tour operator in the Eastern Region (GWV International Tours), moving into numerous management level positions. He then went on to be the General Manager of a local full service agency providing leadership in all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the business. He spent one year as part of a team of professionals working for the American Express Corporate Business Travel Unit, taking advantage of their expert level training and work ethic, he serviced a government contractor account generating over 30 million in annual ARC volume.
Mr. Lando then moved on to become the Vice President of one of the “Top Fifty Corporate Travel Management Companies”, selected by BTN (Business Travel News Magazine) in their Top 100 list of 1994, QST Travel out of Irvine CA. In this role he was responsible for heading up the Eastern Region of sales, business development, account management, operations, and daily overall production of an eastern region reservation center and multiple on-site locations.
Mr. Lando recognized the ability to offer on line web hosted products was the direction the industry was heading in order to remain competitive and profitable, so he entered the field as a Senior Consultant for Oracle e-Travel and focused his efforts e-commerce ASP solutions that have revolutionized how business’s and people manage their corporate travel expenditures.
Mr. Lando moved on to GetThere in 2000 where he was tasked with managing the Systems Integration and Professional Services division throughout North America, Canada, South America and Mexico. He and his team have worked with most of the world’s Fortune 500 global clients and have successfully implemented, released, and generated some of the highest utilization rates measured by any companies standards.
Mr. Lando has recruited and retained some of the industries leading professionals over the past decade in areas of Project Management, Systems Integration, Operations and Implementation. He is known for his straight forward, motivational style and his ability to maintain an extremely high level of enthusiasm and energy during even the most challenging periods. He is currently a Systems Implementation Manager for OnVantage, Inc., the nations largest group and meeting – spend management technology provider for Fortune 500 companies.
Mr. Lando is active in his community. He has served as a Framingham Auxiliary Police officer for the past five plus years. He was also sworn in on MAY 16, 2004 as a Police Officer in the town of Groton MA.
He has been the recipient of the “The President’s Volunteer Service Award” for 2003 and 2004 in Law Enforcement for volunteering over 300 hours each year as a Law Enforcement Officer.
Mr. Lando has extensive industry related training by some of the top companies in the country. He has focused on areas such as on-line e-learning training, web based e-commerce applications, Project Management, Systems Integration and staff management.
